14 years of Razr V3: Why it is and will be one of the most loved phones !

It has been 14 years since the release of one of the most loved phones Motorola Razr V3. Its unique design made it a fashionable phone and perhaps the very first phone to be called so. The V3 was released July 27, 2004 and was followed by the improved V3i.  Over its four-year run, the V3 model sold more than 130 million units. This made it the best-selling clamshell phone in the world to date.

So, what made this phone so different?

All the phones in the market during the early 2000’s were dull and boring. They were made of plastic and were thick. They were almost similar to each other. However, this similarity was ended by Motorola. Razr V3 was thin, stylish and made out of metal. It was nothing like its competition.

The phone was manufactured out of aluminium and had a nickel-plated keyboard. Even the hinge was beautifully designed which plays a crucial role in flip-phones. The phone was thin so it wasn’t heavy. It was majestic not only when held but also when used.

The phone boasted incredible specs. It featured a beautiful looking color screen, VGA camera and an external display. It also had a standard mini USB port and was rated for round six and a half hours of speak time and 10 days of standby time.

Razr was released in a lot of colours and had various versions of it. Although none of them were as successful as the V3 series. The phone was a classic and was the first phone a lot of people ever owned. The experience that the V3 provided pretty much cemented its position in a lot of hearts. However, would people still buy it if Motorola released a newer and upgraded version of it. Motorola definitely has the resources and the technology to do so. It might even sell a decent amount since the V3 was loved a lot.
