Only thing that is probably wrong with the New BlackBerry Flagship
The BlackBerry KEYone is a early hit, with sales going really good. But the device has a very serious problem. The early byers of the device must have noticed this, but the Zack from YouTube Channel JerryRigEverything reported it.
The video, just like Zack’s other mobile durability test video begins with the scratch test. The screen, body, fingerprint sensor and all perform really well in his vigorous testing. The KEYone also performed really well on the burn test. But when it came to bend test, The TCL manufactured BlackBerry KEYone had its screen popped out like a popcorn from a popcorn machine.
It was then found out, that the screen as no adhesive to make it stick to the device’s metal body. Unlike some certain phones like the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the LG G6 which take heavy heating and too much effort with the prying to get their screens off, the KEYone pops out with almost effort. It was also pointed out that several other users reported this problem on the CrackBerry forums, which now handles official BlackBerry forums.
This might turn out to be a pretty serious issue for BlackBerry as well as TCL. Although the issue is solvable with minimal changes in the manufacturing side, unless TCL and BlackBerry fix this, your KEYone is vulnerable to this. Zack who pointed out the issue, recommends the use of a case, one that covers the lip of the display to prevent it popping out in your pocket.
Will this effect your decision to buy the KEYone? Let us know in the comments down below.
