Coolpad Cool Play 6 launched: Everything you need to know
Cool Play 6, device with 6 GB RAM
Chinese smartphone manufacturers Coolpad Play 6 in India today. The phone is the first device from Coolpad with 6 GB RAM. The device is priced at INR 14,999 and will be an Amazon exclusive. The sale will start on Amazon India from 4th September onwards.
2016 has been a year of up and downs for the Chinese giants. Coolpad is confident of their strategy going forward in the Indian market.
Direct rival to Redmi Note 4 and Moto G5 Plus and Nokia 6
With the competitive pricing of 14,999, the device is right in the mix with the market leaders and the likes of Redmi Note 4, Moto G5 plus or the recently launched Nokia 6. Yet none of the devices in the spectrum offer 6 GB of RAM, with Dual-camera setup. Coolpad hopes that Play 6 can dominate the Under 15k market, with standout features, latest Android and premium metal build.
The Coolpad Cool 6 is powered by a Snapdragon 653 processor which has the Adreno 510 GPU, all this is coupled with 6 GB of RAM. The device has internal storage of 64 GB which is expandable via Micro SD. On the front, the screen is a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The device runs on a 4,000 mAh Battery and runs on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat with a newly designed UI running over it namely the Journey UI.
The primary camera is Dual-lens setup with a primary 13 MP RGB lens with a 13 MP monochrome lens, very similar to Honor 6X. Both lenses are Sony lenses and have f/2.0 aperture. The front has an 8 MP lens with an aperture of f/2.2 for groupies and selfies.
The device has Type-C connectivity, with VoLTE support. Play 6 has an all Aluminum body with fingerprint sensor at the back placed below the Dual-camera setup. Coolpad Play 6 will be available in two colour variant Soft Gold and Black.
