Google announces update for Google Home, now interact in Hindi
Google recently announced that they have rolled out the update for the Google Home which was in testing for a fair bit of time. They announced a Hindi language update on Google Assistant for Google’s Smart speakers for Google Home in India. It can also respond in Hindi to the unique Indian context and is not only a gimmick which can reply to yours, Namaste.
The Hindi update was made available earlier this year for smartphones to make the update more accessible for people who don’t have Google home or are more comfortable to interact in Hindi rather than in English. The Hindi assistant was also made available in Allo and a special version for Jio feature phone.
How to Interact with Google Assistant in Hindi
To interact with Home in Hindi, you’ll have to setup Google Assistant to recognize the language on the Google Home App. Start by tapping ‘Account’ icon, which should be at the lower right corner, where you need to select ‘Settings’. Access the ‘Assistant’ tab, where you have to select ‘Add a language’, and set ‘हिंदी (भारत)’ as your default language.
Once set to Hindi you can interact with your Google Assistant device by just saying, “OK Google” and ask questions in Hindi.

With the update, you can ask Google to play you songs from your library or from Play Music or any other synced music service. You can get to know about the scores or news about your favorite sports or teams. You can also get to know about general News.
