HTC to launch 2 new ‘U’ series smartphone – U11 plus and life
HTC is all heads up for the third flagship launch of the year. This year they have already launched their flagship worth U11 and U ultra. And now it appears to be couple launch of a new flagship and entry-level smartphone in the market. U11 plus and U11 life.
HTC U11 plus
Phandroid reports that HTC has been sending out invites for an announcement then in Taiwan, what’s not confirmed is what we’ll see, but there’s reason to think there’ll be a new flagship, known as the HTC U11 Plus.
A big ‘U’ on the invite tells us that whatever’s coming will be a new entry in the U range, and we’ve previously heard rumors of an HTC U11 Plus.
These suggest that it will be a bigger and potentially better version of the HTC U11, with a 5.99-inch with 18:9 display with minimum bezels, a Snapdragon 835 chipset, a choice of 4GB or 6GB of RAM paired with 64GB or 128GB of storage, a 12MP rear camera, and an 8MP front-facing one, along with a waterproof build.
Htc U11 life
There seems to be a low-spec and low-priced HTC U coming to the market. The company may be targeting the mid-range market. Where the phones like Moto X4 and Samsung A series compete.
According to known leaker @LlabTooFeR this will have a 5.2-inch 1080p screen, a Snapdragon 630 chipset, 3GB or 4GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of storage, 16MP cameras on both the front and back, a 2,600mAh battery, IP67 water resistance and Edge Sense (which lets you squeeze the sides to interact with it). It’s also apparently part of Google’s budget Android One program.
Nothing is confirmed by now but there is an event planned on November 2. Also, there will be a new phone launch. But will there be only one or the pair, How much the phone will cost will be disclosed at the event only?
