Is Huawei Mate 10’s code named Marcel?
A few days ago Huawei introduced Mate 10 by releasing some rough images of the device. That was basically a teaser of a new phone by the company. It showed us all the dual camera setup phones the company has. The list starts with P9 and P9 plus and is followed by Mate. Then is continued by P10 and P10 Plus. In the end, comes a mysterious device. By the way, the things were going, it is most probably the Mate 10.
The unnamed device carries the date of 16th October 2016 and a tagline “#beyondthegalaxy”. This leads us to believe that the Mate 10 which is to be unveiled on October 10th will be available to buy from October 16th. Also, it will have dual camera setup. The tagline beyond the galaxy suggests an infinity display of some sort.
According to latest leaks, the Huawei Mate 10 is to be named Marcel. Evan Blass tweeted “Codename for Huawei Mate 10 is Marcel”. The codename is pretty much weird, but given the past records, it has a high chance to be true. The phone will be powered by the new home-grown Kirin 970 chipset, which is produced using the 10nm process.

It will also feature a 6.1-inch full-screen Full HD display. The dual camera setup will be 12MP each. Instead of going for wide angle, Huawei decided to go for the monochrome path. One of the lenses will be RGB and another will be monochrome. It will enable the functionality of true black and white photos. It will also help in low light photography.
Although it seems the Mate 10 is a good device we still don’t know most of the specifications of the device.
