Huawei Mate 10 Lite already revealed as Maimang 6 in China?
Sometimes companies reveal their handsets in their home country and then later launch them worldwide under a different name. This is more common in the Chinese companies. It appears to be the case with the newly revealed Huawei Maimang 6. The phone will go on sale in China soon but is rumoured to be revealed under the name of Mate 10 Lite later next month.
The Huawei Maimang 6 sports a 5.0-inch 1,080 x 2,160 display with a taller 18:9 aspect ratio we all have come to love. It is powered by Huawei’s in-house developed Kirin 659 processor at 2.36 GHz, coupled with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, powered by a 3,340 mAh battery. The device has dual camera setup at the back as well as the front. The rear houses a 16 MP main sensor and a 2 MP secondary sensor, while the front houses a 13 MP camera and another 2 MP secondary sensor. A fingerprint sensor is at the back of the phone in the middle and it has Android 7.1 out of the box. However it will ship with Huawei’s EUMI 5.1.
The Huawei Maimang 6 will be available in Obsidian Black, Streamer Gold, and Aurora Blue colors. Pre-orders begin today in China for 2399 yuan, around $364(~₹23,600). The Mate 10 series is expected to be launched on October 16 in Munich. The rebranded Mate 10 Lite will likely we available somewhere around November.
