Huawei P30 Pro launched with Quad Camera setup at back
Huawei announced the 2019 P-series smartphones. The Huawei P20 Pro was the 2018-19 camera king which had a tri-camera setup at the back. With Huawei P30 Pro the company is going one step further ahead, Now the smartphone is sporting Quad Camera setup which brings in 10x lossless zoom and a total 50x overall zooming capacity.
2 smartphones were announced Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro, the P30 is standard edition which has got a smaller screen and smaller camera.
Huawei P30 Pro sports a 6.4-inch Full HD+ OLED display while the smaller edition has got a 6.1-inch Full HD+ OLED display with both having tiny Dewdrop notch at the front. Under the hood, The smartphones are powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor paired with Mali-G76 MP10 GPU. Coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage which is further expandable using a nano-memory slot. Under the hood, the PRO edition has a 4,200mAh battery which supports Huawei’s latest 40W Super Charge technology supporting Reverse Charging. whereas the standard edition has 3620 mAh capacity with wireless reverse charge.
As for the optics, the Huawei P30 Pro features a Huawei has added a quad-camera setup on the P30 Pro, which houses a 40-megapixel primary camera with 1/1.7-inch Huawei SuperSpectrum Sensor and f/1.6 (27mm) lens, a 20-megapixel ultra-wide-angle secondary camera with an f/2.2 (16mm) lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with an f/3.4 (125mm) lens, and a Time-of-Flight (TOF) camera. There is also dual OIS (optical image stabilisation). Up front, there is a 40-megapixel selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture.
The standard edition misses out on the TOF camera.
Out of the box, The smartphones have Android 9.0 Pie based EMUI 9. Which is an improved version of the previous EMUI 8 now supporting gesture-based navigation and the new Camera app. Also, the phone supports in-display fingerprint sensor, which is touted to be improved.
Price and availability
There haven’t been any official statement on the Indian launch of the smartphone but sources to be believed the smartphone will be announced within the first two weeks of April in India. The smartphone has already been listed on Amazon but the prices haven’t been announced.
The phone has launched in 4 gradient finishes which are Amber Sunrise, Aurora, Breathing Crystal, and Pearl white standard variant of the smartphone is expected to go toe-to-toe against the OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 7(coming soon) while the pro variant has its fight set against Samsung Galaxy S10. The Huawei P30 will be priced at around Rs 40,000- 45,000 while the P30 Pro will have a price tag of Rs 70,000-75000.
