Leaked BlackBerry Ghost is a premium smartphone made especially for India
Secure phones with great qwerty keyboard come to mind when we think about Blackberry. The brand was immensely successful in its time. But after the launch of the original iPhone back in 2007, the qwerty phones didn’t have much luck. However, the brand still lives on making qwerty phones like the KEYone and normal touchscreen phones like the Motion. All of them running Android. Security and Android don’t hand in hand but that’s what you get for trying to stay in the competition.
However, the company is gearing up to launch an all screen smartphone ditching buttons at all. The smartphone is ruoured to be called the “Ghost”. Popular tipster, Evan Blass took on twitter to post an image. He also said in the tweet that the phone is a Bezel-less smartphone. Also, stating that it will be manufactured by Optiemus.

For those unknown, Blackberry still makes smartphones. The company is known as Research in Motion. Although it stopped developing smartphones back in 2014. It licensed out other companies to makes BlackBerry branded smartphones. The biggest of them is the Chinese giant TCL. TCL developed the most famous Blackberry in the past 5 years, the BlackBerry KEYone. However, they are not the ones making the Ghost. It is manufactured by a Delhi-based telecom, Optiemus. Optiemus has a licensing agreement to make and sell BlackBerry smartphones in India. The company signed that deal early last year. Their first device was a limited Edition black KEYone.
However, as the company is an exclusive partner to Indian Blackberry smartphones, the devices may be sold only in India.
