Leaks surface of the Tentative Oneplus 6 reveals iPhone X like notch
Oneplus the Chinese hit smartphone maker. At the top of the flagship smartphone market with affordable and premium smartphones. Last year, the company unveiled 2 smartphones Oneplus 5 and Oneplus 5T, Both features dual camera and Snapdragon 835. This year the company is preparing to launch Oneplus 6.
Oneplus 6 design leaks reveal the smartphone will have similar frontal design as iPhone X and rear design similar to Samsung Galaxy S9+.
The smartphone is expected to feature a 5.99-inch QHD+ display with 2560×1440 pixels on an 18:9 aspect ratio. The new smartphone will have a slight notch on the top of the screen, where the front camera sits. At the rear, the smartphone is Shiny glass back which has vertical Dual cameras and fingerprint sensor.
Under the hood, the Oneplus 6 will have the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 soc. Which is yet to be announced might launch before the end of Q1 2018. With the new Snapdragon 845 soc, the smartphone will be paired with 6GB and 8GB RAM options and 64GB and 128 GB Internal storage.
The smartphone will be powered by 3500 mAh battery with type C connectivity. The shiny glass back suggests the phone may incorporate Wireless charging. The Oneplus 6 will also have Face unlock feature.
In the Optics department, the smartphone will have improved version of Oneplus 5T’s dual camera and the secondary camera might have additional Face unlock sensor.
The Oneplus 6 is not expected to be launched anytime soon. The new phone is expected to surface in reality in the mid of Q2 2018. The phone will come with Android 8.1 based Oxygen OS out of the box. Is expected to be available in Black colour may have different special edition versions.
The price of the new phone will be competitive as per the history of the company’s device holds.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau had confirmed in January that the company’s next flagship would be launched in the latter part of Q2 2018, which suggests the phone might be launched before June end. Interestingly, Lau also said that the launch of a mid-year upgrade may be upheld.
