Lenovo K6 Power launch and launch day offers
Earlier this week, Lenovo launched a new smartphone to its ever growing collection of devices which looked a lot similar to Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 3 design wise as well as specs wise on paper but will the device perform better than its lookalike or lose the battle.
The phone definitely looks a lot like the redmi Note 3, but there are so many differences which indicates the same design language being opted by two companies which is really common these days. The metal body, capacitive keys on the bottom of the screen, back camera in the middle, fingerprint sensor just below the camera, speaker grill on the bottom at the back. The device packs a 5-inch IPS display with 441 ppi which makes the display sharp, thus making the viewing effperience better. The design language is really popular these days strongly making us believe that its just a coincidence nothing else.
Powered by 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa core CPU and Adreno 505 GPU, which phone gives quite a power. The phone comes in two variants, one with 3GB RAM/32GB Storage which will be launched in India and a 2GB RAM/16GB storage on which the lenovo officials commented are not planning to bring it to India anytime soon.
The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow which one would expect to be having Lenovo’s Vibe UI on the top but they have changed it. They have trimmed the modifications to the stock android UI and now their new UI ie the Pure UI looks a lot like stock android. This not only increases the device performance but also brings rejoice to AOSP lovers. The Pure UI have some important features to like, such as the ability to lock apps with fingerprint without any third party app or ability to run multiple instances of a single app kind of like Parallel Space.
The primary camera is a 13MP IMX258 Sony sensor along with phase detection auto-focus and an LED flash and a 8 MP front camera for the selfie lovers out there. The device comes with standard micro-usb and 4G VoLTE support. The micro-usb port offers a OTG and a reverse charge support ie you can charge another device with this phone. This was first seen in Asus Zenphone Max but never gained recognition. The 4000 Mah battery is said to give 27 days battery standby time.
The device will be available for Rs 9,999 starting December 6 and now we have launch day offers unveiled by Lenovo and Fipkart. Their Moto Pulse 2 headphones will if purchased with the K6 Power will be available for just Rs 499 instead of their Rs 1,499 price tag.
