Lenovo teases ‘Moto Razr’ with Moto Mod : April fools prank or real ?
Lenovo, the Chinese phone manufacturer and the rightful owner of Motorola is high on success with the firms phone launches recently. Under the company, all the phones have performed greatly in the market either being Moto G5 or Moto Z.
Now it seems that the company is all set to bring, 2004’s iconic phone Moto Razr to a new life in 2017. Bundled with its Iconic feature of Moto Mods.
We had earlier received news of the Phone which we had covered last year(Moto Razr). But this time, the hype is real. The company seems to be pretty serious about the phone.
Moto Razr’s history
It all started in 2004 when in its first four-year run, the V3 model sold more than 130 million units, becoming the best-selling flip-phone in the world to date.
In 2007, a second version, called the Razr 2 was unveiled, which had an external touch screen.
In October 2011,
Motorola resurrected the Razr brand for a line of Android smartphones; the
Droid Razr for Verizon Wireless, otherwise also known as ‘Motorola RAZR’
on other networks.
Although in 2011, Droid Razr failed to live up to the standards it was expected to come out with. The company says that “this time it’s new and improved as a Moto Mod.”
We got the news that Motorola has hired the finalist of “Transform the Smartphone” challenge.
Let’s hope a comeback of the Razr becomes one of the winning ideas and Motorola is not playing some elaborate April Fools prank.
