Moto G6 confirmed for April 19th launch: Specifications revealed

Lenovo owned Motorola, Is all set to release its much-awaited 2018 generation of Sub-flagship series smartphones. The popular Moto G-series. This year Motorola is about to launch Moto G6, plus and G6 play.

Moto G6

The new Moto G6 and the Plus variant will be sporting 18:9 aspect ratio display with fingerprint scanner mounted at the front. Whereas The Moto G6 play will have the usual 16:9 display with an enormous battery.

Specifications

Moto G6 Plus will sport a 5.93-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080×2160 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood, The smartphone will feature a Snapdragon 630 SoC paired with 4/6 GB RAM options. In terms of optics, the smartphone will feature a Dual-camera setup with 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel cameras at the rear. A selfie camera of 16mp.

Moto G6

The mid-tier Moto G6 is about to have a slightly smaller 5.7-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to house a Snapdragon 450 SOC. In the camera department, the smartphone has a Dual-camera setup similar to the Plus edition.

The Play Edition is expected to sport a 5.7-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) IPS display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage, and a 4000mAh battery. In the camera department, the smartphone might get a single 13-megapixel rear sensor and a 5-megapixel selfie sensor.

Price and Availablity

The Release of the new smartphones is all set for April 19 in Brasil. The Moto G6 Play is suggested to sport a price tag of $199.99 (roughly Rs. 13,000) and the Moto G6 will likely be priced at $249.99 (roughly Rs. 16,300). The Indian prices will be more clear after the launch event in Brasil takes place.
