Moto G7 series: renders online leaks design
2018 wasn’t a very exciting year when it came to Lenovo’s owned Moto series. With No flagship smartphone launch, Triplet of G series and a new Android device. The Moto brand failed to impress with nominal specs at a very high price. This year Moto is expected to launch Moto G7 series with top features at competitive pricing.
The 2019 editions of the Moto G series, is expected to have 3 smartphones similar to last year. The Moto G7, Moto G7 Plus and Moto G7 play.
The Moto G7 standard and Plus features the latest tear drop notch.
As per the slash gear tips, the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 632. But the Indian variant might be tipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 with 4/6GB RAM options. In terms of optics, the smartphone will feature a Dual-camera setup with 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel cameras at the rear. A selfie camera of 16mp.
The smartphone will feature a USB Type-C port, 4G LTE support, Bluetooth 4.2, and 3.5mm audio jack.
Moto G7 Plus
From the Same source, the Moto G7 Plus will feature the same 6.24-inch screen as the Moto G7. The phone is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636, but we expect a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660. The phone’s RAM, operating system, storage as well as the battery details are also said to be the same as the Moto G7.
The dual-camera setup on the back of the phone will house a 16-megapixel primary sensor with f1.7 lens and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with an f2.2 lens.
Moto G7 Power and Play specifications
The Moto G7 Power as evident by the leaks will sport a Notched display. The Moto G7 Power will reportedly come with a 6.2-inch HD+ (720×1520 pixels) screen, Snapdragon 632 SoC, and 3GB of RAM. As evident by the name of the phone, the highlight of the Moto G7 Power is going to be its battery, which the leak indicates will be 5,000mAh in capacity.
Other specifications of the smartphone will include 32GB of inbuilt storage with an expansion slot, a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 lens, and an 8-megapixel front shooter with f/2.2 lens. Like other Moto G7 phones, the Moto G7 Power will also run on Android 9 Pie.
The Moto G7 Play will sport the smallest screen out of all Moto G7 smartphones at 5.7-inch with HD+ (720×1512 pixels) resolution with a similar notched design as the Moto G7 Power. The phone will be powered by Snapdragon 632 SoC, coupled with 2GB of RAM. The phone will also pack 3,000mAh battery, 13-megapixel rear camera with f2.0 lens, and 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 lens. On the software front, the phone will have Android 9 Pie on-board.
All the smartphones will come with Motorola’s Turbocharging with Moto G7 standard, Plus, Power will come with a USB Type-C. and Moto G7 play will have a Micro USB.
Price and availability
The launch of the G-series smartphones is expected to be slated during MWC 2019. The smartphones are expected to be priced between Rs 7000-20000, with Moto G7 play priced at Rs 7000-9000 and Moto G7 Plus at Rs 18000-20000.
