Moto Z2 play officially announced
Motorola, Subsidy under Chinese smartphone giant Lenovo. Has successfully announced their much-awaited flagship phone of this year Moto Z2 play. The phone is officially displayed on Motorola’s US website.
The phone is a great combination of great design and high-end performance hardware. The smartphone has an improvised design to its predecessor. Although considering the hardware the phone might not appear tough, but other features make the phone handy enough.
The differences between this generation and the previous on seem to be subtle, yet refined. Motorola included a larger fingerprint sensor on the front this time around, which looks similar to the sensors we got on the Moto G5 and G5 Plus. That Suggest we will be able to use the fingerprint sensor gestures, allowing you to go back, home, or open the recent apps menu all from that one button.
The phone has a secondary shooter of 12 MP including Dual Autofocus Pixel camera, complete with phase-detection, laser autofocus, a f/1.7 aperture, a dual-LED flash, and a 1.4 μm pixel size.
The secondary shooter is a 5 MP sensor, f/2.2 aperture, 1.4 μm pixel size, and front-facing flash which looks promising.
The phone incorporates Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 platform, packed with options of 3 or 4 GB of RAM. It may also have options for either 32 or 64 GB of onboard storage and microSD expansion up to 2 TB. But, the device has a much smaller 3,000 mAh battery unit, which undoubtedly points to worry about. Small battery not always means low battery life, It may be known after the phone comes out for review.
The Moto Z2 play is very thin, only just 5.99 mm, compared to the Moto Z Play’s 7 mm. The Z2 Play also features a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack(very important). Lenovo promises the phone will provide high speed turbocharging, will give 30-hour battery in 15 minutes of charge.
Motorola has also launched a handful of new Moto Mods alongside the Moto Z2 Play. Which will be able to available later this summer. Which includes the JBL SoundBoost 2, a Wireless Charging Style Shell, a Moto TurboPower Pack charger, as well as a GamePad.
