OnePlus 6 may have been revealed completely
Chinese smartphone Manufacturer OnePlus is expected to launch the OnePlus 6. As we saw a mid-year design refresh on the OnePlus 5 with the OnePlus 5T. The devices are due for a complete cycle refresh this June. Most probably will be called the OnePlus 6. However, their sister company Oppo just launched their latest flagship. With the Opportunity R15 out in the market. And with the fact that the history repeats itself, we can say that’s the OnePlus 6.
It’s not a new fact that OnePlus and Oppo source designs from each other. The Oppo R11s and the OnePlus 5T were identical. Also, there are both sister companies. Also, their third sister company launched the X21 UD with under the display fingerprint sensor recently. This means that the OnePlus 6 might sport under the display fingerprint sensor.
What can be expected from the OnePlus 6?
So, interestingly, OnePlus could introduce the OnePlus 6 with an iPhone X styled Notch. It won’t be the only Android smartphone to do that. Also, as OnePlus and Oppo borrow designs from each other, the Oppo R15 can be the OnePlus 6. For reference, the Oppo R15 sports a 6.28-inch OLED full-HD+ (1080×2280) with 19:9 aspect ratio display. Earlier this month, there were rumours of the OnePlus 6 having a more bigger aspect ratio than the OnePlus 5T’s 18:9 aspect ratio. There were also rumours of the iPhone X styled Notch which we have been seeing on several Android flagships. With the Oppo R15 launched, these rumours can definitely be true.
As we know OnePlus, Oppo and Vivo fall under the control of BBK Electronics. And as the history is our proof, the designs of their smartphones are quite same. In terms of specifications, the Oppo R15 sports an octa-core MediaTek Helio P20 SoC. This is coupled with ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU and 6GB of RAM. While the Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC paired with Adreno 512 GPU and same 6GB of RAM. Taing a look at the history, the OnePlus 6 will swap out the processor for the Snapdragon 845 and the bump up the RAM to 8GB.
However, another sister company to the OnePlus launched two different new smartphones. The Vivo X21 and X21 UD on Tuesday. The Vivo X21 UD features an under the display fingerprint sensor. This is might mean that the OnePlus 6 might also feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. Also, it is needless to say that the Vivo X21 smartphones resemble the Oppo R15. From its 6.28-inch display with the notch.
