OnePlus 6 Oxygen OS update bring Portrait mode selfies, Battery percentage and more

OnePlus launched their newest flagship worldwide recently which was well received by all the users and was sold quite quickly everywhere it was launched. All through the device had the hardware to give every flagship smartphone a run for their money, there was a great need for software to bring up its game as the initial Oxygen OS was a little laggy and some issues in the camera department.

Oxygen OS was updated to 5.1.6 build with a major addition being the Portrait mode for the front camera. OnePlus joins the company of Xiaomi, Lenovo, Google and Huawei in being the first few to offer selfie Portrait mode. Some other major bug fixes have also been done to enhance the Bokeh effect on the rear camera.

The new update also gave us minor bug fixes here and there and some new features notably, you can now see the battery percentage in the status bar, ability to schedule DND, Dual-4G network option, Smart answer with Bluetooth devices.

OnePlus officials have said that they have only pushed out the update for a few of their consumers and the 5.1.6 OS update will be available on all OnePlus 6 around the world in a matter of days.

Although, a news was also surfaced that there is a major security flaw in the update where anyone can get physical access to your smartphone by Bypassing the locked bootloader. OnePlus have fortunately acknowledged the issue and have promised that a fix will be released soon for the issue, but no concrete dates have been issued by the company.
