Realme 2 pro with Waterdrop Notch and Snapdragon 660 launched in India
Oppo’s new sub-brand RealME has been top of its game recently. With Realme 1 being launched earlier this year, which was very well received by the consumers. The company launched the new Realme series, With Realme 2, Realme 2 pro and Realme C1 in the lineup. The Realme C1 is the new entry-level and the Realme 2 pro is the new high end.
Realme 2 was announced last month, the entire new Realme series sports Notch-displays with big screens and a fine Chin at the bottom.
The Realme 2 pro features a 6.3-Inch bezel-less screen with Dewdrop Notch on Top. Under the hood, the smartphone has an Ai aided Qualcomm Snapdragon 660. Which is a Mid-range chipset from Qualcomm earlier seen in the devices like Mi A2, Nokia 7 Plus. The Soc is paired with 4/6/8GB RAm options and 32/64/128GB internal storage.
On the optics front, The Realme 2 Pro sports a dual camera setup – one 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.7 aperture, 1/2.8-inch Sony IMX398 sensor, 1.12-micron pixel size, and 6P lens. It supports 4K video recording at 30fps and another 2-megapixel secondary depth sensor. At the front, there is a 16-megapixel sensor as well with f/2.0 aperture.
Phone Comes with Android 8.0 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.1 with additional AI set up for Cameras. The smartphone lacks in terms of Fast Charging and type-c connectivity.
Price and Availablity
The Realme 2 Pro smartphone is priced in India at Rs. 13,990 for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage model, Rs.15,990 for the 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant, and Rs. 17,990 for the 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage option. It will go on sale exclusively on Flipkart on October 11 from 12am IST, and will be available in Black Sea, Blue Ocean, and Ice Lake colour variants.
The Solar Red variant may also come soon.
The entry-level Realme C1 also announced at Rs. 6,999, this is only an introductory pricing for the Diwali festive season. This model will go on sale in India on October 11 via Flipkart.
