Realme 3 Pro launched with Snapdragon 710: Redmi Note killer?

Realme announced its top offering for this season “Realme 3 Pro”, standing straight up against the mid-range king Redmi Note 7 Pro. The Realme flagship smartphone has been able to topple the Redmi counterpart with a better and more efficient processor. Does it stand tall at every dimension?

Realme 3 Pro

The launch of the device took place in New Delhi, where the smartphone was accompanied by a budget smartphone Realme C2, which stands up against the Redmi Note 7.

The smartphone sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. On the back side, the phone has a blend of three colours “Hinting a gradient finish” making the plastic back smartphone a bit premium as far as looks are concerned. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC paired with 4GB/6GB RAM options.

On the Camera front, The dewdrop notch on the top of the smartphone holds the 26-megapixel selfie shooter. On the back, the smartphone sports a dual shooter primary 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.7 aperture, paired with a 5-megapixel secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture.

The device comes equipped with a 4,045mAh battery with support for VOOC 3.0 fast charging. But the phone still uses Micro-USB for connections.

Price and Availability

The Realme 3 Pro has been priced at Rs. 13,999 for the base variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage, whereas the 6GB + 128GB variant carries a price tag of Rs. 16,999.

The Realme 3 Pro comes in Carbon Grey, Nitro Blue, and Lightning Purple colour options with a gradient finish. The Carbon Grey and Nitro Blue colours will be available from the first flash sale while the lightning purple will be available after may. First Flash sales on 29th April.

The smartphone seems impressive but lacks the lustre of a premium device. While the selfie shooter seems impressive the back camera fails to impress and Not including the Type – C ports adds fuel to the fire. The things going in favour of the phone is Wildvine L1 certification and a Snapdragon 710 chipset which is more efficient.

Although Realme 3 pro is an outstanding device, Redmi Note 7 pro remains the king in the segment.
