Redmi 5A launching in India on November 30: priced very low
Xiaomi just recently launched a new selfie centric series. The Redmi Y series, Now the company is planning to unveil the successor to their already established entry-level series. The A series, the company is set to launch the new Redmi 5A.
The Smartphone comes with a tagline ‘Desh ka Smartphone’. Rumours suggest the new Redmi 5A might be priced at a level close to JioPhone.
Redmi 5A specification (Chinese)
The Redmi 5A is a premium looking plastic+Metal design smartphone. With a 5 inch display, the phone fits well in the hand with a Sharp 720p resolution. Under the hood, the smartphone has a Quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor paired with 2/3GB RAM options. Having 16/32Gb internal storage option with expandable storage up to 256GB.
On the Camera front, the phone comes with a 13MP rear camera along with a 5MP front camera. And a battery of 3000 mAh capacity to give entire days battery life. Misses out on Fingerprint though.
Price and Availablity
The Smartphone is launching on November 30 in India. The sale of the phone will start a week late, the smartphone will be sold only in Flash sale.
On the price front, the smartphone might have 2 or 3 different version to take fight up to the JioPhone. All the versions will be 4G Volte enabled prices of the phone might start at a price of RS 3000 and up to Rs 5000.
If there will be only one version it might be priced at Rs 5500.
Note:- The term Desh ka Smartphone suggest that the phone will be targeted to take on the majority section of India. Also under Make in India campaign, Xiaomi also announced that it has opened a new manufacturing unit in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, the company also launched the Mi Power Bank 2i, a product that has been made in India.
