Redmi Pro 2 leaked: Snapdragon 855 and cut-hole display
The buzz on first Redmi stand-alone flagship has been up there for years now. Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi known for midrange flagship at competitive pricing seems to fight for the bigger price as well. The reports of Redmi device with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 is now making rounds on the web. The new leak confirms the Redmi Pro 2 with Snapdragon 855, but the new smartphone design is still uncertain.
According to the renders, There may be pop-up selfie camera or a cut-hole Selfie camera. One of the two design is to appear in the Redmi flagship variant and the other might get to the Poco Flagship. Most likely, Poco smartphone will bring a pop-up selfie shooter similar to the OnePlus 7‘s pop-up selfie shooter.
Redmi Pro 2 Specifications
The Redmi flagship smartphone will have a 6.1-6.3 inch FULL HD LCD display. Under the hood, The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, 5G might be not present on the device. The fingerprint sensor is at the back of the smartphone.
On the optics department, The camera setup is a vertical tri-camera setup similar to the one on Mi 9, but to make the smartphone cheaper Xiaomi may opt for cheaper lens instead.
Redmi is expected to hold their same 4000 mAh battery as seen in the Redmi note series with Quick charge 4.0, The back of the appears to be glass design. The smartphone will come with MIUI 10 out of the box.
Price and availability
The launch of Redmi Pro 2 is still a question. Sources to be believed there can be an Android One variant of the Pro 2 launching with it. The phone is expected to be announced by June and will hit the markets by August this year. Price is expected to be less compared to the other smartphone sporting the same chip.
We expect the phone to priced at Rs 23000-25000 for the standard less-RAM MIUI variant.
