Samsung Galaxy A80 and A70 to be launched in India soon

Samsung last week announced the new galaxy A-series smartphones. The new Samsung Galaxy A80 is the first Samsung smartphone to bring in Slider mechanism to kill the notch. While the Samsung Galaxy A70 has the Infinity U display, which is similar to Dew-drop notch design.

Samsung has revealed that the Indian launch of the A-series smartphones will be scheduled early next week. Although Samsung hasn’t revealed any other information of the Exynos counterparts of their new offering. But as per the usual trend, the smartphone will have the same specifications except for an Exynos processor.

The Auto-sliding mechanism and the rotating back camera makes this phone completely bezel-less. The smartphone comes with a 6.70-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display. Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy A80 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor that features 2 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and 6 cores clocked at 1.7GHz paired with 8GB of RAM.

On the camera front, the Samsung Galaxy A80 on the rear packs a 48-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.0 aperture and a second 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The rear camera setup has autofocus. The rear camera flips to become the selfie shooter.

The Samsung Galaxy A80 runs Android 9.0 Pie with Samsung’s One UI and is powered by a 3,700mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy A80 supports proprietary 25W fast charging.

Samsung Galaxy A70

The infinity U display smartphone sports a 6.70-inch AMOLED FULL HD+ display. Under the hood, Samsung Galaxy A70 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor that features 2 cores clocked at 2GHz and 6 cores clocked at 1.7GHz. paired with 6GB of RAM.

On the camera front, the Samsung Galaxy A70 on the rear packs a 32-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.7 aperture; a second 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a third 5-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture. It sports a 32-megapixel camera on the front for selfies, with an f/2.0 aperture.

The Samsung Galaxy A70 runs on Samsung’s’ one UI based on Android 9.0 is powered by a 4,500mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy A70 supports proprietary 25W fast charging.

Price and Availablity

The Samsung A-series smartphone will be available from the range of Rs 10000-50000 in India after the launch of these smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy A70 will be launched next week while the Samsung Galaxy A80 will be launched early next month in India.

The prices of smartphones haven’t been announced, We expect the A70 to be priced at around Rs 35000 while the Galaxy A80 will be available at around Rs 50,000.
