Samsung Galaxy J8 plus surfaces on Geekbench with Snapdragon 625
Samsung, World’s largest Smartphone maker. Has been at the top of the smartphone plus feature phone market at all end. Be it flagship or entry-level phone. Recently, The company unveiled its Flagship for the year 2018. Now the company looks to bring its game to the Sub-flagship market with new Galaxy J8 plus.
The new phone surfaced online at Geekbench benchmarks with revealing its specifications.
The benchmarks leaks suggest that the new smartphone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. The smartphone also sports an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at a 1.8GHz base frequency and Adreno 506 GPU.
Benchmarks didn’t reveal much about display and Camera specifications, But we conclude from the reports that the new Galaxy j8 plus will feature 16-megapixel sensors for both front and rear camera setups or 8-megapixel sensors each embedded in a dual camera module. It is also expected to come with a 5.5-inch display that could sport an HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution.
The new phone is likely to have an 18:9 aspect ratio with minimum bezels and a fingerprint sensor at back.
Price and Availablity
The new Galaxy J8 plus is expected to be unveiled soon within the Q2 2018. There might be 2 different phone variant one with Exynos and other with the Snapdragon. The Exynos model is expected to land in Europe and Asia while the Snapdragon variant is expected to land in America and other countries.
In India, the phone might be a Flipkart exclusive with heavy discounts. We could expect the new smartphone to be in under 15k category.
