Samsung Galaxy S10 might be accompanied by the “first” folding display smartphone
Samsung smartphones have been at the top of the smartphone industry for a decade now. With all of its previous 9 flagships, Samsung has always revolutionized the smartphone industry in a market leading fashion. Same is expected to happen this time again, Samsung Galaxy S10 launch in the MWC 2019 is expected not to bring just flagship series but will also bring 10th-anniversary edition Samsung Galaxy X which will be a folding display smartphone.
The prototype of Samsung ‘s folding smartphone was first seen in the developer conference held in November, were the company also revealed the Infinity display’s on which they are working. Which included Infinity-V, Infinity-O and new Infinity design.
Samsung has already brought Infinity-O design is Samsung A9 and Infinity-V design in Samsung M-series, We believe the flagship series should have the infinity design which is selfie camera behind the display. But the rumours have only suggested an Infinity-O design for the 2019 flagship.
The three flagships and an anniversary edition are scheduled to be announced at the event.
Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10+
Sizewise the Samsung S10 will have a smaller frame as compared to S10+ which is expected to sport a 6.4-inch QHD+ display on an OLED panel.
With Samsung confirming the smartphone will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 at heart. The smartphone will bring features like in-display fingerprint scanner using ultrasound and 5G connectivity to the smartphone. The chipset will be paired with 4/6GB RAM options and internal storage of 128/256Gb as seen in Galaxy Note 9. Samsung will bring the newer and more reformed variant of their Exynos lineup with similar capabilities for the Indian and other markets.
On the optics department, The Samsung galaxy S10 will have a dual camera at back whereas the Galaxy S10+ will have a triple camera.
Samsung Galaxy S10 lite
The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite, the cheaper/less-premium of Samsung’s flagship series. The smartphone will have a 5.8-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution, with a hole cut-off from the top right of the screen for Front facing camera.
Rumours to be believed the new smartphone will have a flat panel, which we haven’t seen in Samsung flagship since the launch of Samsung Galaxy S8 two years back. Under the hood, the smartphone will be having Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 which will be exclusive to the US homeland and the other countries might get an Exynos 9820.
On the optics department, The same camera as the Galaxy S10.
Samsung Galaxy X
The Samsung Galaxy X, the tenth-anniversary edition Samsung will have flexible OLED panel the dimensions are not clear at the moment. The smartphone is expected to have a 5.8-inch screen after the fold.
Under the hood, the smartphone will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC and global Exynos 9820 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM. Features such as in-display fingerprint scanner aren’t yet confirmed but 5G support for the smartphone is pretty much evident.
