Samsung launches portable SSD T5 in India for Rs 13500 onwards
Samsung is a giant not only in one segment. but in all segments of the consumer electronics. May it be Mobile sector, Computer sector, or home appliance. This time it’s in the computer segment with introducing portable SSD T5 for the first time in the Indian market. At a considerable price starting at Rs 13,500/-.
What is an SSD?
A solid-state drive (SSD) is a solid-state storage device that uses integrated circuit assemblies as memory to store data persistently. An SSD does functionally everything a hard drive does, but data is instead stored on interconnected flash memory chips that retain the data even when there’s no power present. SSD is also considered faster than HDD.
Addressing the launch
The company launched portable SSD T5 in India in four different capacities a varients– 250GB, 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB.
SSD T5 offer speeds up to 540MB/s thanks to company’s 64-layer V-NAND technology. The portable solid state drive (PSSD) has been built keeping in mind content creators, business, and IT professionals as well as mainstream consumers.
The SSD is lightweight and easy to grip.The company claims the drive can withstand accidental drops of up to 2 meters regards to no moving parts and a shock-resistant internal frame. A person can store, access and transfer data across multiple operating software and devices with data protection over an AES 256-bit hardware encryption.
Samsung portable SSD T5 will be available in two metal finish versions– deep black for 1 and 2TB models. and alluring blue for 250GB and 500GB models.
SSD T5 is priced at Rs 13,500 for the 250GB option. Rs 21,000 for 500 GB version, Rs 40,000 for 1 TB option, and Rs 80,000 for 2 TB option.
