The recent trend in the smartphone consumer market is a full-screen display with no notch with a real emphasis on having the best possible camera setup on the front and the back, like the Redmi K20 and Realme X. The smartphone market has always been competitive and pretty stagnant in terms of processor and battery life in each segment. Even though the budget flagship segment have had surprisingly good camera setups. Now with the new launches like the Pixel 3A which has a sole focus on the camera capability, offering flagship camera performance for a relatively cheaper price. With this drift of tide, the budget smartphone market has gone very competitive in the camera department. Redmi Note 7 Pro
The smartphone is priced at just Rs 13,999. The Redmi Note 7 Pro packs the flagship 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor which is the same sensor used in phones like OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, Honor V20 and Asus Zenfone 6z. The camera lens has an f/1.79 aperture and 1.6μm pixel size.
It is accompanied by a 5-megapixel depth sensor. As far as features go, the list includes AI Portrait mode, AI Studio Lighting, AI Dynamic Bokeh, slo-mo video recording, and 4K video capture.
Under the hood, the Redmi Note 7 Pro sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675. Which is said to give a higher performance as compared to Snapdragon 710 processor. The difference is not a lot in terms of computing power and usage. While the smartphone has 5.9-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display. The phone has waterdrop notch on top accompanied by a 4000 mAh battery with Quick charge 4.0.
The Realme X smartphone priced under INR 20,000, is yet to be launched in India. the smartphone sports a Pop up Camera which gives a full-screen display. The smartphone sports a Dual camera at the back, the phone sports a 48MP+5Mp sensors, the 48mp is a Sony IMX586 lens which performs really well. It offers 4K video recording at 30fps.
While the front lens, mounted on the pop-up is a 16mp lens placed just symmetrically above the centre. Realme retains Oppo’s Camera app which brings in a variety of beautification modes.
Under the hood, the Realme X has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 at heart, with 6/8GB RAM options. The smartphone sports a full view display and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The super AMOLED panel produces vibrant colours, the pop up on the top looks eye-catching. The smartphone has Oppo’s VOOC fast charging.
The Cheaper version of the Xiaomi’s 2019 Indian flagship, Redmi K20. The Redmi k20 sports similar lens as the pro version major difference arises in terms of chipset and charging technology.

Entry-level variant of Honor 20 lineup sports triple sensors(24 MP main + 2 MP depth sensor + 8 MP ultra-wide-angle). While the 24MP camera isn’t the best available but brings in amazing shutter speed and stabilised video recording results. Honor 20i ‘s 24 mp camera is the same camera Honor used in their previous year flagship Honor 10. Which apparently gave amazing results.
The phone lacks a telephoto lens, but Honor’s camera app performs very well and there are fewer distortions up till 2x zoom.
The 6.21-inch full-HD+ display is sufficiently bright, but it renders slightly oversaturated colours. EMUI comes with a host of useful features, but there is some pre-installed bloatware as well.
The Kirin 710 SoC powering the phone proves to be a capable performer.
The 25-megapixel front camera captures detailed photos but does some smoothening as well.
The Honor 20i’s 3,400 mAh struggles to last a full day of usage and often drains completely before the end of the day.
