World’s first Pressure sensor phone launched: HTC U11

HTC announced the HTC U11, their new flagship in the Indian market with SnapDragon 835 and Edge Sense


HTC announced the launch of their newest flagship device namely the HTC U11. The new device comes with some of the market best specifications with a unique and fresh design. In India, HTC has announced the device with SnapDragon 835 SoC with just the 6 GB RAM variant also running Adreno 540 GPU.


The device has a 5.5-inch Super LCD5 display ( 2560 x 1440 pixels ) which is a Gorilla Glass 5 protected. Weighing just 169 gms, with a 7.9 mm thickness, and Dust and Water resistant. The device has 128 GB inbuilt storage, expandable up to 2TB and is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery with a quick charge through a Type – C port.


Device hosts a 12 MP primary camera with f1.7 aperture, with autofocus, and Optical image stabilisation. The 12MP camera is said to be the best-rated camera ever. The front camera is a 16MP camera with an f2.0 aperture.


U11 is running latest Android OS 7.1.1 Nougat with HTC Sense UI. The Sense UI comes with Google Assistant and also comes with Amazon Alexa AI.


HTC U11 is powered by BoomSound Hi-Fi system with dual front speaker audio, which gives one of the best audio on a smartphone till date and Usonic technology with active noise cancelling, claimed to be the most advanced headset ever built.


What’s Unique?

The device is the first device with pressure sensitive body. HTC have called the technology, Edge Sense which lets the user trigger different actions through different pressure or gestures along the edge of the device. You can customise the pressure or gestures towards your liking and can launch your favourite apps just by squeezing your HTC U11.


The introduction of Amazon Alexa in smartphones, HTC U11 will be the first smartphone to be integrated with the famous Amazon’s Alexa AI, which is your personal friend on your device.


HTC U11 will be made available by the end of June and is priced at 51,990 INR. Currently, HTC has decided to only launch the 6GB version and drop the 4GB version for the Indian market. The U11 comes in 4 different colour offerings namely, Silver, Sapphire Blue, Solar Red, and Brilliant Black.
