Xiaomi Mi A1 now comes in red
Since the launch of Apple iPhone 7 Limited Edition Red, companies are taking the red color really seriously. Xiaomi launched the Mi A1 in black, gold and rose gold and back in September but now they just unveiled the special edition red. The new Special Edition red coloured Mi A1 is available only in Indonesia for now. It bears a price tag of IDR 3,099,000, which roughly translates to $215(Rs 13,999). However, it is not yet available in India and there is no word of its arrival. Although the Android one device was made for the Asian Countries, so expect it to launch soon.
The Special Edition Red Mi A1 nears the exact same internals as of the Mi A1 which was launched at a price tag of Rs 14,999 in September. Although, in under a month it got a permanent price cut of Rs 1,000. This means the Special Edition Red comes with the same specifications and same price but gives a new colour option. Also it is a limite edition, so except very less quantities for sale.
To recall, the Xiaomi Mi A1 comes with a 5.5-inch display with a full metal uni-body and a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. The screen is made up of a 2.5 D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. It runs on stock Android 7.1.2 Nougat out-of-the-box currently, and the company promises to upgrade the phone to Android Oreo by the end of this year.
For the optics, Xiaomi Mi A1 comes with dual camera setup at the back. They include a 12MP wide angle lens and a 12MP telephoto lens. The Xiaomi focused on Bokeh effect with the dual camera with their Mi A1.
On the hardware front, the Xiaomi Mi A1 is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and a hybrid micro-sd card slot upto 256GB. The phone is powered by a 3,080mAh battery and uses Type-C charge cable.
