Xiaomi Mi A2: All the rumors in one place
Last year Xiaomi launched a device with Google under the Android One smartphone range, namely the Mi A1. The device took the budget flagship market by storm and broke Mi’s sales records. The device, packed inside a new fresh design from Xiaomi was not compromising anywhere. Now since the launch of Mi Mix 2S and Mi 8, the spotlight and the anticipation is in full gear for the successor of the Mi A1, the Xiaomi Mi A2.
Recently the rumours have flooded over the news and specifications of the Xiaomi Mi A2. We have compiled all of the rumours and news we have come across about Mi A2.
Xiaomi Mi A2: Specifications and features
Similar to the last brand Mi A1 which was a rebranded Mi 5X with a stock UI, we have good reason to believe that the Mi A2 will be a rebranded Android One running Mi 6X.
Which means the phone could feature a 6-inch Full HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio display. The device could be powered by the latest in mid-range chipset the Snapdragon 660 SoC which could be coupled with 6GB of RAM and a 4GB RAM variant too.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 will definitely feature a dual-camera setup at the back similar to the Mi A1. We suspect that the sensor might be a 20-megapixel sensor coupled with a 12-Megapixel sensor, would both lenses featured will be colour lenses we do not know yet. Front of the device could feature a 12-megapixel wide angle lens with front flash.
Other features include an IR-blaster, fingerprint sensor at the back of the device, internal storage of upto 128GB with possible expansion with the Hybrid SIM-slot. Mi A2 could feature a smaller battery than that of the Mi A1 with a 3,010 mAh (Mi A1 featured a 3,080mAh battery) but with the newer chipset the battery management could be better and last longer, we will have to test that when the device launches.
If you love Stock UI and would like your device experience to be clean but cannot afford the Pixel devices, Android One range is for you, and Mi A2 is part of the same line where you won’t have to use the MIUI like other Xiaomi smartphones, but the most cleanest and the most stock experience ever.
