Xiaomi to launch selfie-centric Redmi Y2 with dual camera and bezel-less display
Xiaomi last year announced its first-ever Selfie-centric device lineup with Redmi y1 and y1 lite. Both the smartphones were hit in the market, This year the company brings 2018 version of the device the Redmi Y2 on 7th June. The new phone was earlier announced in China with the tag of Redmi S2.
The phone comes with a bezel-less display with dual camera and AI-based 16mp camera at front.
The Redmi Y2 comes with a 5.99-inch touchscreen display with an HD+ resolution of 720 pixels by 1440 pixels. Under the hood, The smartphone is powered by 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and paired with 3GB of RAM. The phone packs 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card.
On the optics department, the smartphone packs a 12+5-megapixel Dual camera setup on the rear and a 16-megapixel AI enhanced front shooter for selfies.
The phone gets MIUI 9 based on Android oreo 8.1, soon it will get updated to MiUI 10 which will have features of Android P also the phone will have a 3080 mAh battery. The phone doesn’t have a fast charging support.
Price and Availablity
The Redmi Y2 will be launched in India in this June. The smartphone will be available in Two colour variants, Gold and Black. The Smartphone will be priced at Rs 9999/- and will be made available by the second week. The phone will be sold in Flash sale initially.
Note:- The Redmi Y2 appears very similar to Redmi note 5 pro, but with an engine of Redmi note 5. It will surely be a major competition in the market.
